Mushy; sentimental; gooey;

Being a funny sudden event in a serious story.

The novel is filled with bathos and I liked a comical surprise.

The sudden appearance of a clown filled the movie with a silly bathos. It lightened the seriousness of
the movie.

Bath (Reminds) Bath

Os (Reminds) Oh

A bath with "ohs" is romantic
